Tangy Chilli Sauce

Ever come across a sauce that makes every dish it touches magical? I made one of those mythical sauces recently and have made it again several times in the past few weeks - we keep polishing off every bottle I make!


RECIPE: Tangy Chilli Sauce

Ingredients:
1 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
1/2 cup fish sauce
1/2 cup light soya sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup finely chopped cilantro
3 tbsp chilli powder and/or flakes (no seeds) - I use half of each

juiced limes
chilli powder
chopped cilantro
chilli flakes
Method:
> pour it all into a blender or food processor
> blitz
> serve with everything

When friends of ours came for dinner last month, we made satay chicken, spiced basmati rice, madras roasted vegetables, and this incredible chilli sauce. At one point, I asked if anyone wanted a small glass of the chilli sauce so they could just sip it with their meal!!
